The Biology Obstacle Course at KPF: Students testing mystery samples from Planet Earth for organic molecules. The exercise generates a taster of the benefits and frustrations of inderdisciplinary research.
Astrobiology Summer Academy 2013:
We are co-organising this pilot summer school and devising and hosting the biological activities. Labnotes - a musical film collaboration, now published on Vimeo, based on KPF's liquid handling robot, Armstrong.

KPF staff lecture and supervise degree projects for the Schools of Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences and Physics&Astronomy. Tutorials on mass spectrometry are available on an ad-hoc basis.
Internships at KPF:
from a one-day work taster to a year-long PhD placement, we host a range of visiting students age 14 upwards. I'm a Scientist - get me out of here! Sarah Martin won the 2011 X-factor style science competition by answering 374 science questions posed by 284 pupils from all over the UK and participating in 16 classroom live chats.
